KAREN ANTRIM & FRANK GALANTE
Ceramic & Pastel Artists
Exhibition location: Shelby Area Library
"Poets' Houses", a collaborative exhibition brings together the talents of two artists, Karen Antrim and Frank Galante. Their partnership has brought to life the homes of celebrated poets through both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art. Inspired by the lives and works of literary figures such as Langston Hughes, Sylvia Plath, Theodore Roethke, Walt Whitman and Robert Frost the artists have created detailed visual interpretations of the houses where these influential voices once resided. Through a combination of artistic pastel renderings and intricately crafted 3D ceramic models, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the connection between place, creativity and literary legacy. The result is a captivating blend of art, history and poetry that offers a fresh perspective on the environments that helped shape some of the world's most beloved poets.
