REQUIREMENTS: A completed Artist application, (included) Current Pentwater Arts Council membership. (application can be found on line, at pentwaterartscouncil.org ) *A 20% commission on the sale of all artwork will be collected by the PAC.
The Pentwater Arts Council, in its effort to support the Arts and its Artists, will sponsor its second Art Sale, which will be held at the Hancock Building, located in downtown Pentwater. The event will be held over the Labor Day Weekend, Sunday, September 3, 2017, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Exhibitors must be accepted to display and sell their work. Each artist may display between 5-10 pieces of art, based on designated display areas. Artists are encouraged to bring more pieces to sell as art is sold. Space allocations will be determined by the PAC.
*Artists may set up at 11:30 a.m. PAC members will be available to show you to your area and assist as needed. Setup must be complete at 12:45 p.m. on the day of the show.
- 3-D artists should bring a card table for display of artwork and any other additional set-up materials. Table cloths will be provided.
- 2D artists should have artwork ready to hang.
- Artists may park near the Antler to unload and load, but during the event, please park on a side street. Artists may breakdown at 4:00 p.m. A 20% fee on the sale of artwork will be collected by the PAC and checks will be sent to the artists shortly thereafter.
Rules/Regulations *Only artists accepted into the fair will be allowed to participate. All artwork must be original and the work of the registered artist. Spaces will be designated and exhibitors must stay within their space. Subletting, selling, or giving space to anyone is not permitted.
The Pentwater Arts Council (PAC) will hold its annual general membership meeting on September 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Pentwater Artisan Learning Center located at 780 East Park Street in Pentwater.
The PAC is a 501 (c)(3) organization with the purpose of supporting the arts in Oceana County. The primary activities of the PAC in 2016 were as follows:
The Cork and Canvass event during Winterfest in February
The Oceana County student art show in April
Say Cheese Pentwater photo during Homecoming in August
The bike rack contest and installation
Gallery Strolls in Pentwater on the last Friday of the month May-September
The “Ramp”, a pop-up gallery which features the work of local artists during the Gallery Strolls
Labor Day art show and sale featuring the work of local artists
The annual membership meeting will review the activities of the past year and seek input on planning priorities for the coming year. All members of the PAC as well as those interested in the arts are invited to attend. Please come and help us develop goals and activities for 2017.
